17th February 2003
Attendees: Barbara Price & Harm Sluiman - IBM
Sam Guckenheimer - Rational
Mike Norman and Melanie Woods - Scapa Technologies
Administrative issues
Project Membership
Telelogic and Parasoft
- Harm has engaged both Parasoft and Telelogic. Both continue to be
committed to supporting the project. Parasoft actively involved in
workgroups. Telelogic working at U2TP level.
Additional Eclipse Member
- Briefing call to be held on Wednesday 19th February. Strong support
for Hyades from senior management level, although technical group has
still to be given presentation.
- New membership to form part of continuity press release to help
generate some noise about Hyades
- ACTION - Sam to provide the presentation on Wednesday
Fokus
- ACTION - Mike to email FOKUS to invite them to join.
OMG Interface
- UML2 Sam to speak to Harm about his concerns.
- Kim has requested a statement of requirements on the model. Mike
felt that this may be commercial-in-confidence and so practically
difficult to source.
- ACTION - Sam to speak with Kim regarding this
Development Team Reports
Model
- Harm trying to take control of this and groups have been formed to
progress discussions on the following areas:
o Behavioural piece
o Test model
o Trace model
o Statistical model
o Data pool - this group is not yet active, will form later
o Scheduling/deployment - this group is not yet active, will form later
- 2 related areas of discussion are being covered within the workgroups
o Efficiency of storage, trace model group is looking at this
o Visualization, user interface issue
Execution Environment
- Notes from the group meeting will be published tomorrow.
Marcomms
- PR Committee looking for a test case to examine operational processes,
especially with regard to event co-ordination, article placement,
interview requests, awards responses, analyst briefings, customer
stories and how to interlock with the PMCs. The Hyades project seems to
fit the bill as a test case.
- Traditional PR plan discussed, briefing analysts prior to press,
approaching to relevant media publications to request holds within their
feature schedules etc.
- Availability of user-downloadable tools within a 2-3 months timeframe,
contact should be made with relevant press from now
- ACTION - Sam - to contact existing media contacts
- ACTION - Sam - to act as spokesperson with the main analysts,
- ACTION - Melanie - speak to PR Committee and PR Agency with regard to
setting place holders with publications
- ACTION - Melanie - keep Lynn Shepardson (Rational) in loop with regard
to media relations operational processes discussions
