[news.eclipse.tools.gef] XMI

I realized a class diagram in GEF and i have implemented the model of the 
aplication in EMF.When i save my diagram the Serializer of EMF produce a 
XMI file with the conntent of the diagram.Is it possibile open my diagram 
file with another editor or another aplication(for instance omondo UML) if 
the names of element's model are different? How i can i do it without 
change my model? is it possible export my XMI diagram to open it with 
omondo?
