[news.eclipse.tools.gef] Size of the scrollable area for a FreeformLayer

Is it possible to make the scrolling area 'wider' when using a
FreeformLayer?

My layout algorithm recomputes the location of the figures on it, and each
time this happens,
the scrollable area also adjusts its size - I don't want that to happen.

What are my options? Can I set the size of the scrollable area myself?
