[news.eclipse.tools.gef] Re: gef and draw2d docs

Hi,
my comment was mainly intended as a provocation to get somebody attention. This said, I do feel there is a lack in documentation. IMHO documentation should be treated as a first class citizen of the Eclipse framework, with its own timetable and milestones. THis said, a question: where can I find any type of documentation/tutorial/examples on draw2D graph layout?

        Thanks,
                    ra

Hi All,
I know this is probably not the first e-mail on this topic, but I
believe the answer to the question has to be "periodically refreshed".
So here it is again:

what is the best way to learn using draw2D and GEF? in particular by
browsing the API I just found that draw2D has some graph layout
capabilities, but I haven't seen that shown in tutorials...

Personally, I'm starting to begin that the chronic lack of documentation
is not casual but intended.

That is certainly not the case, I assure you. There's a lot more
documentation available now than there was a year ago, and we're making
efforts to improve it further. We're expecting more help from the community
in this regard.

the draw2D developers guide is a joke,
being just few tutorials. What about a real guide? Why is it that the
developers are not willing to make any money by writing some books?
