Hi Roland,
The Teneo project works the other way from an EMF model to hibernate, but it is not a solution for your case I am afraid.
For the rest I don't know other solutions which do what you want, maybe others know.
I know hibernate pretty well, and also how the internal object structure is build from the hibernate mapping. It could
be possible to initialize a sessionfactory and then programmatically walk through the hibernate mapping and create an
ecore model/xsd. But this requires some work...
I from my side would be interested to have such a component as part of Teneo. The idea would then be to transform not
only the model but to also set right annotations in the model to make sure that Teneo maps the model in the same way to
the underlying database (through hibernate).
So if you or someone else is going to spend time here and is willing to contribute then let me know!
gr. Martin

Hey,
Does anybody here have any experience in switchibng/converting a largish
project from using Hibernate to EMF model instead?
Was it easy? Was it worth it? What are the potential pitfalls to look for?
Is there a good migration path (initializing Ecore model from Hibernate
mappings?)
