[news.eclipse.tools.emf] Re: [Teneo] EMF and legacy database

Hi Wolfgang,
Yes, it would be easier if you can add new tables (without changing the current tables in the legacy database) to the database because then you can handle them (old and new) in one hibernate resource.

Mapping the legacy database and the model is possible using either annotations in the model or a separate xml file.

Hello,

I have the situation, that I have a legacy database I want to hide behind an emf-model. The additional problem is, that the new models should contain much more information than the legacy-database. Is this possible with EMF and Teneo?

In my opinion there are two steps to solve:
1. The models must be split into two resources, one in a normal file and one in the database.
2. The legacy database and the model must be mapped.
