Ah, thanks John. What's the feature-set of egit that you're using. I
can't figure out how to do any merges or rebasing, is that not
supported?
I find it helpful for doing commits in one step. I'd been using it to
push to GitHub until it trashed the repository. Egit's certainly not
adequate to work on a repository in any but a completely trivial
(commits to a single branch) use case. I use the command-line git.
I haven't had any problems related to commit. The purpose of installing
it is to contribute to testing. Unfortunately, my offers to track down
problems I encounter are met with vague statements about how things
ought to be.
