Ah, thanks John. What's the feature-set of egit that you're using. I can't figure out how to do any merges or rebasing, is that not supported? I can rewind changes also, related to the previous, all I can do is create new branches and commit, it seems.

And I managed to kill my git within 5 minutes of creating it and clicking around, so yes, probably would not be VERY safe to use.
