[news.eclipse.tools.cdt] exclude specific directories from indexing

I just installed 4.0 RC0 and am impressed with the progress that's been 
made since the last time I had a look-- a year or so ago.

I have a specific question about indexing. Is it possible to exclude
certain, specific directories from being included in the index? For
example, I often copy a complete directory to something like
"directory.old" and I want the files in this directory to be ignored
by the indexer.

  I marked these directories to be excluded from the build but this
doesn't seem to affect the indexer.
