First of all, this is the wrong group to post to. Please use the
eclipse.tools.cdt newsgroup on news.eclipse.org. This mailiing list is for
developers of CDT itself, and additional plugins.

However, to attempt to answer your question:
In your standard make project, have you created a makefile? Have you built 
the
project? Were there any errors reported?

If you have created a makefile and it builds correctly, please post again 
to
eclipse.tools.cdt with additional information.
