we plan to support HL7 V2 as well, but the nature of the 2 versions
of the standard is that they are very different, and though some common
patterns exist, there's little if any shared code. Also, V2 is well
supported in existing code, so there appears to be less hurry for that.

there is no other versions of the HL7 standard.
