[news.eclipse.technology.ohf] Re: OHF Meetings

hi

I'd like to have a meeting in Europe (and one in Australia too). It's a bit of a catch-22 - we don't have anyone in Europe, because
we don't meet in Europe. We don't meet in Europe because we don't
have anyone there.

Actually, neither of those things is actually true.
We've only had one meeting and we have this meeting scheduled. At our only other meeting we had 2 representatives from Europe
(Wales and Finland)

we are aware of the importance of global standards, there's several
CEN standards of importance such as 13606 and others you allude to outside the direct healthcare domain

How about any meetings in Europe?

I know, most stakeholders are located in the US so far, but especially with healthcare it is very important to include local aspects of EVERY country (or at least continent/trade unit) it should apply.

E.g. issues like HIPAA are important for America (or just the US), but have nothing to do with European (EU) healthcare organizations and professionals.
While the EU has other initiatives like a common European SmartCard for social security (and other citizen matters in some case)
