[news.eclipse.technology.ohf] Re: Revised Proposal Available

A couple of comments. the first is that project like RCP and others have
already taken Eclipse down a broader path than simply being an integration
platform...Eclipse is clearly in the client runtime business and has been
for some time. Many Eclipse projects also produce both tools and
componenets for developing server-side applications. So I don't see that OHF
is really striking out in any radical new directions. To quote directly
from the proposal: "Although the OHF is being designed to assist developers
who are building healthcare applications, we will not be developing a
complete client or server application. Our focus is components, tools, and
frameworks".
