I have tested to configure Mylar (Eclipse 3.2.1) with JIRA 3.6.4 and
JIRA 3.6.5 but I get a "bad envelope" message when I try to connect.
Works fine with JIRA 3.8
But we cannot upgrade our prod. environment (3.6.4) and I noticed that
the Mylar release note mentions > JIRA 3.3 as target environment, so I
guess that something in my env. is not correct configured.
I have enabled Remote API (SOAP req) calls in JIRA!
The same happens with the JIRA (Enterprise Edition, Version: 3.6-#153)
from the QuickFIX/J open source project:
http://www.quickfixj.org/jira
The message is "Bad envelope tag: html"
OK, I resolved this with the maintainer of the QuickFIX/J site: He had the XML-RPC disabled
due fight some spamming issues.
Now he enabled it again and it works fine:
* general configuration page in the jira administration section
* permission called "Accept remote API calls"
But as you said, you already enabled this.
Does the above message "Bad envelope tag: html" always indicate missing XML-RPC support?
Then a more helpful error message from the JIRA connector would be appropriate.
