[News.eclipse.technology.mddi] Interested in the project
|
Hello,
I am a researcher at the UOC (www.uoc.edu) and at the UPC (www.upc.edu). I
am also interested in this project. I think it sounds really exciting and
promising.
I am currently working in a set of OCL tools to provide an automatic code
generation for the integrity constraints defined in a conceptual schema.
This is one of the major limitations of present CASE and MDA tools.
The generated constraints are incremental (the constraints are only verified
when necessary and using only the minimum number of objects). The method is
technologically-independent, so the results can be used to obtain
incremental constraints regardless the final technology platform selected to
implement the CS. (More information at
http://www.lsi.upc.edu/~jcabot/phd.html or contacting me).
The tools resulting from this project could be provided as services in the
MDDi to preprocess the user's models before the code generation phase to
obtain a more efficient code.
Apart from for my own work, I think that support for OCL (parsing textual
constraints, creating metamodel representations from the textual
expressions.) is really necessary in your project. Do you have any concrete
plans for OCL support?
