[news.eclipse.technology.ldt] Re: so-called Dynamic 'Scripting' Languages

I would appreciate pointers to groups in the Eclipse community that are
addressing the problems of Dynamic Languages. Particularly Scheme and
Lisp. Using the search engine, it's not actually easy to pinpoint any
particular group working on it.
There was a thread on eclipse.technology on March 17 ("Eclipse
Dynamically Typed Language Project: Call for Discussion"), a follow up
to an in-person discussion at EclipseCon 2005.
We are currently looking to identify organizations that have a need for
supporting these languages in Eclipse, particularly those who can
provide resources for such efforts. To refine the architectural
concepts, we are also trying to find technical contributors who can see
both sides of the puzzle, i.e. have deep experience both with adding a
language to Eclipse and also one of the languages (Python, Perl, TCL,
Ruby, PHP).
We hope to leverage off the LDT but there are lots of unknowns. LDT is
much further along than we are -- the LDT is an approved Eclipse
project, led by a strategic developer.
If anyone would like to be kept in the loop on this, please let me know.
