One of the advantages I see of treating LDT as a languages gathering
place and components within it for various purposes (like dynamic
languages) is that the latter will be very easy to set up. Since
there's a certain amount of overhead associated with establishing a
new technology project, it seems that a lighterweight process is
useful.

Another advantage of the grouping is that it will make emerging
language technologies easier to find. Although I believe a new
toplevel project has been suggested, that approach is somewhat at odds
with the "incubator" nature of many of the ideas suggested so far.
(That said, I'm all for whatever arrangement works best for the
greatest number of people, so long as it leaves a clear place to
pursue this R&D work.)
