[news.eclipse.technology.ldt] CDT as point of reference

One of the things that came up at EclipseCon is the applicability of the CDT 
as a multi-language framework. There were two Fortran projects (which will 
hopefully become one in the upcoming days) that are using the CDT as a 
starting point and have promised to feedback the changes they need to make 
the CDT more applicable for their purpose.

I understand that the Java family of languages is this project's initial 
focus, but there is demand from other languages as well and it is not clear 
whether they fall under the mandate of this project. If not, we may end up 
with multiple language development toolkits.
