[news.eclipse.technology.ldt] Comments on the proposal

Factoring out language idependent parts is a very welcome step. However it is a bit strange that Eclipse CDE and AspectJ IDE projects are not mentioned at all in the proposal.

Also note there is Structured Source Editing subproject in Webtools WST project. They are creating kind of more high level language independent editor framework. This framework allows mixing several languages in one editor. And they support editing Java in JSP pages.

Also it might make sense to separate project is subprojects from start:
* Language independent
  - OO IDE framework
  - OO Language Editing support
* Java support

Another problematic issue that ithere is no clear boundary with respect of XML Schema support between Webtools, LDT, and DTP (http://www.eclipse.org/proposals/eclipse-dtp/).
