I thought that I should post an update to this newsgroup:

  Milestone 4 of the 1.0.0 g-Eclipse release is available...

It does not only include many bugfixes, but also a first implementation of
the Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3). This connector makes it possible to
mount 'buckets' (these are the S3 directories) in your workspace and to
work with the remote files as if they were local.
