[news.eclipse.technology.ercp] Re: update site

In fact the problem was solved by increase vm max memory size (-Xmx).

it seems that the updateSite application is heavier than example
eworkbench application or mine application...

Error on GregorianCalendar must be a side effect of the memory problem
since I have no longer this error.

Now the problem is the same than on "launching outside eclipse" ( can't select a new feature to install)

By the way with the Foundation library from WSDD, I have a class that doesn't compile(JarDeltaInstallHandler class ; error on URISyntaxException )

Wow... You've been busy.

I can try to address the WM2003 issues:
What device are you running on and how much RAM do you have free?
Can you adjust the memory gauge to allocate more for RAM?

What JVM and jcl profile are you running. The GregorianCalendar class is in Foundation 1.0 profile.

I have test update site but with no success :

- I have creating simple local/remote update site using the eclipse wizard from a feature.

- I have added attribute type="org.eclipse.ercp.update.file" or org.eclipse.ercp.update.http

then I got various errors depending on the platforms :

-launching with eclipse :
- adding bookmarks is ok
- when searching for new features, it failed with an unhandled event loop exception

-launching outside eclipse :
- adding bookmarks is ok
- searching for new features is ok
- but next I can't select a new feature to install (can't check the checkBox ).

-launching on a win2003 PDA :
-click on the finished button for adding bookmarks (from valid/non valid/remote/local site.xml or even other files ) crashes with a Unhandled event loop exception (OutOfMemoryError).

May be I have missed something so if you could provide a test update site that is working it could be useful.

- trying to update all application on the wm2003 raise a ClassNotFoundException : java.util.GregorianCalendar?

Otherwise interfaces look great for that!
