Thanks Mark,

I started from scratch using M8. When I complete the final step titled "Set 
sample project to use Foundation JRE", The project indicated an error in the 
file "HelloApplication.java". Error is at the top and reads "The type 
java.lang.Object cannot be resolved. It is indirectly referenced  from 
required .class files."

If I add the standard JRE into the build path along with the Foundation JRE, 
the error goes away, but then the same error is given when trying to run the 
project as an eclipse application.

My standard JRE that I'm using is JDK 1.5.06
Running Windows XP SP2
Eclipse 3.1
