[news.eclipse.technology.equinox] [p2] Director leaves local update site

Hello,

after I use p2 director application (org.eclipse.equinox.p2.director,
new one) to install additional features from local update sites (on
local disk), these update sites remain in "Available Software Sites"
dialog. I looked into this and found these sites mentioned in two files
inside
<target-app>/p2/org.eclipse.equinox.p2.engine/profileRegistry/<profileID>/.data/.settings
directory: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.artifact.repository.prefs and
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.metadata.repository.prefs.

How can I get rid of these update sites 1) via director, and 2) using P2
API?
