I have just been experimenting with the P2 installer, and have managed to
get it to install Eclipse from a local Eclipse platform mirror. I would
now like to be able to experiment with installing different configurations
such as those available for download on the eclipse.org site: Java EE;
Java; C/C++. Can anyone tell me if IU definitions for these exist? If so
where can I find them? If not then can anyone tell me where I would find
out how to author such meta information myself?
What I ultimately need to do is create a custom IU which specifies a base
install including some proprietary plugins, a launch script, configuration
and local copies of some JDK pulled from a network file system to the
user's local machine. Does anyone know if such a mixed bag of stuff can be
installed using P2?
