The OPEN Process Framwork Repository Organization (OPFRO) has developed
and maintains a repository of more than 1,100 free, open source,
reusable method components based on the OPEN Process Framework
Metamodel. These method components were developed as a consistent class
library to be used via selection, tailoring, and integration to produce
appropriate project-specific methods for business engineering, system
engineering, software development, sustainment, and retirement. These
method components are available free to any company, individual, vendor,
or organization (such as eclipse). The method components are based on
the OPF metamodel so all of the components have standardized contents.
The components have been built over the last 6 years, and the website
where they are stored routinely receives over 1,500 visits a day, and
the website recently had its one millionth visit. Many of the
components have very high ratings under Google search; for example,
google "system requirements specification" or "system architecture
document" and you will get the link to the original (now mirror)
website: www.donald-firesmith.com. The repository can be visited at
www.opfro.org.
Who should I talk to about donating the complete repository to eclipse
for incorporation into the epf?
