[news.eclipse.technology.eilf] Re: [Xml Storage] API :: XQJ Interface usage issues

Hi,

with the assumption that we will put another EILF specific layer on top of
the generic API (as mentioned somewhere in the Wiki page) to make life easier
for service clients, it seems like an obvious choice to use something as the
generic API that will be standardized soon. And because I assume that you
have done a bit of research about such APIs, I trust you that XQJ is "the way
to go" in this area.

As for the options of porting XQJ to Java 1.5:

c) As far as i can tell: i dont see a pressing need for the methods that use that interface and we just could silently drop them -- although i haveno clue what that means in regard to the rights of using then the API.

sounds fine to me - at least technically - if the legal issues can be solved
(not my field of expertise, neither ...)

Cheers,
Juergen.
