I would suggest also the following:
* OPEN - this one is obvious
* GRID - the primary target for EILF is actually a cluster environment, 
so why not use the word "grid" in its name?
* SERVICE - the framework is all about the services
* MODULE & COMPONENT - modules/components as parts of the framework
* STANDARD - since we want to establish the future standard and 
technological infrastructure
* TECHNOLOGY - as we are providing some kind of new technology
* ANNOTATION - we aim to provide some semantic annotation
* DATA - as alternative to information

This all expands our word palette to I-U-M-L-S-A-F-E-O-G-C-T-D :-)
