Yes, but that is exactly the point: Attract attention by deliberately 
questioning/expanding the meaning of the word "file".

Just think about the slogans:
"FILE can make some meaning of your files!", or
"Use FILE to really now your files!", or
"FILE, where is my file?" ;-)

Good point. But I think that that's not so bad.

I personally do not see the reason why we should limit ourselves only to 
acronyms. Just think of the Swordfish project.

BTW: "LIFE" would actually be a backronym.
