I'd agree on that. Software with a generic word as a name is a nuisance,
at least in my humble opinion. Especially in the area of free software
you quite often end up searching for something related to your software
or maybe the software itself. With a name like FILE the software would
be very hard to find.
I am not oopsed to funny accronyms, but I thing they should be unique or
at least rare. Here's a humble suggestion by me and my colleague Kerstin:
SMILLA
The SeMantic Information Life cycle and Logistics Application
You know, Smilla's sense of information ;)
Variations:
* The SeMantic Information Life cycle and Logistics Architecture
* The SeMantic Information Logistics and Life cycle Application
* The SeMantic Information Logistics and Life cycle Architecture
* SeMantic Information Logistics and Life Cycle Access
* and so on ...
