[news.eclipse.technology.ecp] Re: Project status
|
Igor,
I think that this project is strategic to allow the comunity to develop
component based server side software.
Unfortunatelly other technologies, like J2EE have been insufficient to allow
us to build really plugable, extensible, component based solutions, the OSGi
aproach and some how some of the ideias from the ECP implementation should
be taken seriusly to really allow us to build next generation solutions.
We are looking for ECP to mature as a community and as a reference
implementation to allow the concept of server side component model to take
over the way we know server side development.
Hope this endeavor will prosper as there is a really concrete need for this.
Thanks in advance,
Juan Bernabó
