I can only vaguely recall this context menu. What exactly are you 
attempting to test / try out?

I think this has been down for some time.

For my personal testing purposes, I usually just run the 
org.eclipse.ecf.server.generic.app.ServerApplication class located in 
the org.eclipse.ecf.server.generic bundle. But I have the code in my 
workspace so this is easy for me to do.

What do you exactly mean when you say "which fails"? Are there error 
messages or something?
