Hi all,
Please forgive the off-topic post...
I'm a committer on Epsilon, part of the GMT project. We're
contemplating developing some new plug-ins using JRuby. We were
wondering if anyone working on the DLTK project knows about the
licensing issues surrounding JRuby, and releasing plug-ins through
Eclipse that contain JRuby code.
Specifically, what is the IP process for JRuby code? How do we manage
the dependency on JRuby? Do we need to bundle JRuby as part of our
feature, or should we depend on the DLTK project?
Many thanks for any ideas you may have.
Ideally, I think you should speak with the Eclipse Foundation's legal
staff. The other option is to ask for advice of the Eclipse Architecture
Council (EAC). You can open a bug against the EAC seeking advice.

We love to help.
