I would like to thank all of the EclipseCon attendees that provided 
encouragement and constructive feedback regarding the Desktop Technology 
Integration Project (DESK).  The following link is to the DESK introduction 
talk and the OSGi DDE Service and MyEclipse EditorServer demos that Mikhail 
Shnayderman and I presented at the EclipseCon Genuitec/MyEclipse Vendor 
Reception.  The demos are on-going R&D work that illustrate the benefits of 
integrating existing desktop technologies into Eclipse IDE and RCP 
solutions.

Over the next few weeks we will tightening the scope of this proposal to be
