[News.eclipse.technology.cme] troubles getting off the ground

The CME update site seems not to be working (unless the problem is between
my chair and keyboard. :)  ). 

First I tried it from a 3.0.0 version, and that didn?t work. So I
downloaded 2.1.3, but found that wouldn?t work either. I get as far as
creating a new bookmark, but when I expand it I get a message box that
says:

   Unable to access "http:". Internal Error. Unable to create a URL
   from "http:", [no protocol:localstart.asp] Unable to access Site
   stream: "http:/site.xml"[http:/site.xml]

Could be I?m doing something wrong, or perhaps there?s a problem on the
CME end?
