[news.eclipse.technology.buckminster] Re: modifying the version qualifier

Hi Andy,
In order to modify the qualifier you need to supply properties. We support the same property settings as Eclipse does. The properties must be passed as a property file when you perform the export action.

In addition, I've added something called "Version qualifier generation strategies". See https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=195639. If you want to try this, you can use the update site http://download.eclipse.org/technology/buckminster/0.2milestones/updates.

When trying that, you will also help us do testing and improve the product quality (that's another way of saying that what you find on that update site has not undergone extensive testing at this point :-) ). Also, our current documentation has not yet incorporated the new functionality so you'll have to do with what is explained in the bugzilla.

Kind Regards,
Thomas Hallgren

Hi,

I'm trying to use buckminster to automate our build process. Currently I'm just getting everything to work through the UI, so while doing that I've added the .qualifier onto the version but I haven't yet figured out how to modify the qualifier to be something different then the default timestamp. All I seem to be able to find are articles that say you can change the qualifier not how to, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
