[news.eclipse.technology.alf] Presentations on ALF from EclipseCon 2008 available

At EclipseCon 2008 Brian Carroll gave three short talks describes three
different facets of the ALF project:

1. Coordinating Software Development with the Eclipse Application Lifecycle
Framework provided an overview of ALF, the problems it solves and why it
was built. The slides are available at:

2. ALF Single SignOn - A Framework for Tool Integration provided a
description of the ALF Single SignOn components. ALF SSO was presented
within the context of current trends in the security industry, such as
factoring out critical security code from the business application logic,
and the growing adoption of SAML Assertions. The slides are available at:

3. Mashup the development process with ALF. ALF is a framework for
application integration. It was originally targeted at integrating
development tools, but much of the framework is generic and applicable to
any domain. Mashups are a hot topic and the presentation describes how the
components of ALF provide the framework for a commercial mashup tool: Serena
Business Mashups. With less internal technical detail than the first two
talks, this presentation show how ALF can be incorporated to provide
critical capabilites for mashups.
