Eclipse Review Process

    a.. Brian will be scheduling the review for Milestone .7 for February, 
depending on the final analysis by Kim and Summer on the impact of having 
the three Cognizant developers taking the week of Christmas off.  01/11/07 - 
Brian says this will be a release review.  Next week we should be able to 
decide when we want to schedule this.  Brian will send out some draft slides 
and a reminder of the criteria required for this review.  01/29/07 - Brian 
has started the process to have this meeting established.  There's some 
question about whether we can have this since we haven't exited the 
incubation phase.  Brian is waiting to hear back from Bjorn on this.


Project Schedule

    a.. Project schedule reviewed and updated in today's meeting.  Latest 
versions will be posted to Serena internal Sharepoint site and to the 
Eclipse website as well.




Other:

    a.. 12/07/06 Brian met with Telelogic this morning to discuss possible 
in ALF integrations. No bandwidth, not really interested.  Presented 
ALF/Applications to the Serena reps to the partners earlier in the week. 
Direct presentation to the partners is desirable; Brian will work on setting 
that up.  01/11/07 - Some additional meetings are happening.  We'd like to 
get Telelogic involved in the requirements Vocabulary.  Brian has contacted 
Kevin Parker and Kelly Shaw about this.  01/18/07 - meeting scheduled for 
Friday of next week.  01/29/07 - meeting has been postponed, but Serena is 
working on a strategy to work with Telelogic.
    b.. We need to put in a request to have approval to include Axis 2, 
JDOM, and Open SAML 1.1 in our downloads.  Tim and Brian will work this. 
01/18/07 - no progress yet.  01/29/07 - no formal progress, but Brian is 
going through Open SAML right now.  Our issue here is to ensure that we can 
build on these and refer to them.  Brian says that this really effects our 
products such as TT-Vail more than releasing ALF 1.0.  We'll begin building 
with Axis 2 for Milestone .8.
    c.. Brian is concerned about his time to write up the test plans.  He's 
got a draft document that he'll provide to Cognizant and then work 
incrementally to expand.


Decisions

    a.. BPEL has acknowledged a bug with RPC literals.  They offered a 
workaround, but Tim doesn't want to introduce that into ALF.  BPEL will have 
a fix for this in 2-3 weeks.  Justin will note this in a Readme.
    b.. We're adding another build to .7 to pick up some bug fixes.

2.      About ALF - page has different audiences and needs to talk to them 
differently. Need to whack Eclipse junkies over the head to understand that 
ALF is different. Content tailored to communities, publishers, consumers and 
Eclipse-junkies - Kelly Shaw - done and waiting on Kevin to update the 
Eclipse website.
