What is your configuration?  (Help -> About -> Configuration Details)

Did any of the results from Googling "eclipse out of memory" seem helpful or 
relevant?

If you can set aside for a brief moment your reluctance to increase the heap 
memory, does doing that actually solve the problem?

Have you got more or different plug-ins installed than you did with previous 
versions?
