1.5 source compliant...
This kind of thought has crossed my mind as well, but alas I am too
swamped with my day job to go chasing after this feature, however
desirable it would seem...
There is certainly support for dealing with annotations (JDT APT,
maybe). But you're correct, it would have to be a separate builder that
could merge into the plugin.xml ... the core runtime and workbench don't
have access to any 1.5+ functionality.
