[news.eclipse.platform] Re: How to get the ActivePage Layout ?
Once the perspective is created it's layout details tend to be hidden in the internal class Perspective ... although it has saveDesc(*) and saveDescAs(*) which actually generate the "saved" XML (although they store it in strange places.
