Thanks for your comments.

I could notice that, after running the plug-in, it is over writing the old 
content of the jar file, but when I try to open the jar file win WINZIP, 
it says that "Unexpected end of archive".

I could also see that the jar file is empty, only the META-INF folder is 
present, but the size of the jar is remains the same as it was previously.

Kindly let me know, whether I am missing any thing in the code?
