Hi,

I'm wondering, is it possible to download some plugin using update site and 
store it locally (as a local site)? This could help to distribute a package 
in my LAN for other user.
Most of the packages are distributed either in archives or through update 
site.

It is not trivial to create a local site using archive or manually download 
an update site and store it locally.

For example WTP. Its ZIP is not an "archived site". And site.xml for WTP is 
something horrible for manual downloading.
