[news.eclipse.platform] Lost keys...

I've noticed several keystrokes that I use frequently (in the JDT editor)
seem to have stopped working.  I checked the preferences, and they're still
assigned as one would expect.  I even tried a new workspace.

The two I've noticed are CTRL+SPACE for contentAssist, and CTRL+ALT+UP
arrow.  They keystroke is just eaten.  I'm running on a Gentoo/KDE system. 
I haven't found anything in the KDE configuration would 'capture' these.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?  I really miss content assist.
