Hello,
I keep wondering if cheatsheets were ever intended to be used outside
the IDE. It seems not much separation has been done on this field yet :)
The standby part that allows to show cheatsheets from within an intro
contribution is part of the IDE platform bundle, which drags in its very
own CVS intro contributions (why are they not contributed by the cvs
bundles, who knows?).
As new requirements come in, components evolve. It seems you have a use
case to show cheatsheets within an RCP context and things weren't
designed well to make that easy for you. However, after some refactoring
and potential contributions... we could make this possible.
If you're interested to contribute, even better!
How about filing an enhancement request?
So I guess the only way to get the standbypart is to copy+paste the code
from platform? Or is there any factory available that could create the
view?
Can you file a bug for this?
Link the bugs here too ;)
