If it's a VM crash, there usually a core dump. If it's a Eclipse or java
exception then usually there's a log file.
what information should I gather for the bug report?
Most of the time it's not possible to provide everything so get as much
info as you can. The more info we have, there a better chance we can fix
it.
- Platform (Windows, Linux (GTK, Motif, x86....))
- Eclipse version
- Steps to reproduce the bug
- Sample code
- Stack trace
