[news.eclipse.platform.swt] Re: Screen patches, still occuring?

You are quite wrong!

I am not just for complaining. I have to say I am nagging!
I myself spent huge amount of time promoting SWT
in the past, although I didn't practiced much. I still have
once-SWT-enthusiasts
in my mailing list in hundreds! I filed many reports in the past. So I am
well
connected to the community. I know the problems and issues very well.
So I am trying to address the core issues. You can consider me in part, as
a lobbist, representing them. I am not here to upset you guys or discredit.
I am trying to convince you guys to have higher priority in fixing this
problem.
That's why I even volunteered for testing.

Recently, I have converted three programs. Only a very simple one
has no problem! If this doen't get fixed, my only remaining option is to
move away from Java, abandoning huge amounts codes. Basically,
I have to rewrite them from scratch in C++. As a final act, I
have to NAG a bit more before I can give up finally.

Take this as an example case, make swt great, not a reason to leave.

Isn't it still good enough?

R.
