Because plain SWT is more light weight?
Because there is this small little tiny thing called RCP?
Because there are people who don't know the Swing-API as well as they do the SWT one?
You have a product built SWT and want to run it on OS-X?


There are many many other reasons not to use Swing on OS-X although I agree that Swing on OS-X looking really good because it comes from Apple :-)
