This looks like a bug in swt.  Please try this with a recent 3.4-stream
build such as 3.4M5 (
http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/drops/S-3.4M5-200802071530/index.php )
and if it still happens then log a report with swt (
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=Platform&component=SWT )
and provide a snippet that reproduces the problem (snippet template:
http://www.eclipse.org/swt/faq.php#whatisasnippet ).
