[news.eclipse.platform.swt] Handling item focus and traversal keystrokes

I'd like to write a patch for the Gallery widget (being proposed to 
Nebula) to add support for navigating GalleryItems using arrow keys and 
selecting using Ctrl+space (or whatever the appropriate keystrokes are 
for the platform).  Does anyone know of a tutorial or javadoc that 
explains how to do this?
