The problem here is not technical, kde shipped a java binding for Qt for
some while now.  The problem is legal, the licenses are not compatible. 

The positive thing to take out of Trolltech's announcement and their 
good integration with Eclipse is that they might respond to a request from
Eclipse to solve this problem, but without that licensing resolution any
such code could not be used.

What is needed is for the Eclipse foundation (and possibly IBM who I think
also have a binding already written) and Trolltech to talk to each other.
